Martijn Kessler(1958): Geofictician,
From an early age Martijn Kessler became interested in the interfaces between human lives, their structures and the abstract world on a map. In the late seventies he refined his unique medium into a complete art-form and received his first commissions to translate corporate histories and personal lives into geo-fictitious artworks. Meanwhile he developed his skill in oil paint techniques.
In the following years Kessler made some monumental geo-fictitious oil paintings and produced a variety of geo-fictitious maps commissioned by companies and private parties. By the end of 1990, after articles about him and his eye catching work were published in national magazines, he had established himself as a well-known artist. At the same time he came up with his successful concept for geo-fictitious company workshops.
In recent years Martijn Kessler oversaw his rapidly developing and growing organization of free-lancers that provides for a rich variation of geo-fictitious products.

Gerard Schoemaker ( 1954): cartographer, illustrator, mentor to workshops, independent artist, entrepreneur and a member of the Society for Geofiction. ( Genootschap voor Geofictie)
Gerard works closely together with Martijn Kessler since 1994. The cooperation between Martijn Kessler and Gerard Schoemaker has evolved into a tight creative collaboration through the success of their products. In the background Gerard Schoemaker serves as a rest in the organization of Studio Martijn Kessler and as an important inspiration/designer.
Next to a lot of freelance work he does for Martijn Kessler he manages his own Studio for Applied Art and is a renowned portraitist, inspiring animator in creative processes and course leader.
Cas Hofstee ( 1959): Geofictician, cartographer, workshop-leader, entrepreneur (advertising), designer and chairman of the Society for Geofiction. (Genootschap voor Geofictie)
Cas has been working with Martijn Kessler since 2002, because of the growth of Studio Martijn Kessler it became possible to expand the team with a socially inspiring and capable workshopleader/geofictician. In Cas Hofstee, Martijn found exactly what he was looking for, Cas regularly leads and moderates the Geofiction-Workshops. He also functions as a planner in both the creative process of the workshops as well as the design of the ficticious maps.
Beside the freelance work for the Studio, Cas has his own Advertising Company.
Gitte Möller (1969): Linguist, Proofreader, Cartographer and Entrepeneur (Translater)
Gitte Möller has been working for the studio on a freelance basis since 2009. In recent years the geo-fictitious maps of Studio Martijn Kessler are becoming more and more of an interactive product. The customers have more influence on the content. Gitte’s passion for maps, her capacities as a linguist/proofreader and her communicative skills are an excellent completion to the process as well as the growing number of commissions for the studio.
Gitte Möller has her own translation-agency alongside the freelance work for Studio Martijn Kessler.
